One Man Heals Six Times in Sick Ways
An animation by Hellmut Monz about a man who heals six times in sick ways.
In 2001, all my summer job applications were rejected. I was 16 years old and had no idea what to do during the two months of school holidays. The foster village where I lived had received a donation in the form of several personal computers with Windows NT installed. So I found myself clicking around on one of these machines. On one click-adventure, I landed in Microsoft Paint, drawing and saving images, then displaying them quickly in sequence with a picture slideshow application. I was able to create a soundtrack by recording from my CD player, which I placed close to the computer tower, and by playing audio files that had been copied to the hard drive directory as part of PC games. And that is what I ended up doing for the entire two months.
This short film takes an excerpt from that holiday slideshow with a modified soundtrack.
The work shows one man who heals six times in sick ways.
